Hosted by the Vancouver Xiaoping Chorus and sponsored by the Xiaoping Arts and Culture Foundation, the Picturesque Autumn concert brought us together onstage with the talented Vancouver Magee Secondary School Chamber Choir. On November 8, 2025, through music, we expressed gratitude, treasured memories, enduring love, and warm blessings for the coming winter.

Vancouver Xiaoping Chorus, led by the renowned soprano singer Ms. Xiaoping Hu, is a dedicated community of music enthusiasts. Under the guidance of Ms. Hu and professional music instructors, our choir offers a platform to share the delight of choral music. 合唱團創辦人胡曉平，當代國際著名女高音歌唱家，師從聲樂大師高芝蘭，加勃·卡萊利，早年就讀于上海音樂學院和紐約曼哈頓音樂學院。
1982年匈牙利布達佩斯國際聲樂大賽上， 榮膺大賽第一名以及歌劇演唱特別獎 ，成爲得此殊榮的第一位東方歌唱家。她是一個時代的奇迹。
1983-1999，在巡演歐洲十幾國時，俄羅斯以國家名義向胡曉平頒發最高榮譽獎，並將1998年發現的新行星命名爲 “胡曉平” 行星。
1986年，胡曉平在美國21個城市巡回演出，洛杉矶市長授予她 “榮譽公民” 稱號。美國總統雷根訪華時，特意指名會見胡曉平，當面感謝她對中美文化交流做出的特殊貢獻。2011年，美國國際領袖基金會頒發 “全球開拓者獎”，表彰她對世界文化發展所作出的貢獻。
如今，她依然活躍在中加藝術表演及教育舞台，不斷培養優秀音樂人才。
Ms. Xiaoping Hu is a world-renowned soprano. She trained with Maestro Zhilan Gao at the Shanghai Conservatory and continued at the Manhattan School of Music under Gabor Carelli.
In 1982, she won First Prize and the Special Award for Opera Performance at the Budapest International Vocal Competition, which launched her concert tours in Europe.
She received Russia's highest state honor in 1998, an exoplanet was named "The Planet of Hu Xiaoping" in her honor. Her 1986 U.S. tour to 21 cities sparked a phenomenon called "Xiaoping heat," leading to her being named an "Honorary Citizen" of Los Angeles. The late U.S. President Ronald Reagan recognized her contributions to Sino-U.S. cultural exchanges during his visit to China. In 2011, she was awarded the "Global Trailblazer Award" by the International Leadership Foundation.
Today, she continues to be an active presence in the China-Canada arts performance and education, consistently nurturing emerging musical talents.
朱卓琳 Sharon Chu
朱卓琳是一位合唱指揮與歌唱家。 她擁有不列顛哥倫比亞大學 (UBC) 合唱指揮碩士學位，以及音樂與心理學雙學士學位。她師從多位傑出的指揮家，並積極參與由國際知名的指揮與音樂藝術家主持的大師班與工作坊。朱卓琳在宗教音樂與多元合唱曲目方面造詣深厚，曾指揮UBC多支合唱團，包括UBC室內合唱團、Vox與Oriana合唱團，並在香港擔任Vox Antiqua合唱團助理指揮。目前，她執棒溫哥華曉平合唱團，同時也是鳳凰室內合唱團的成員。
Sharon Chu is a choral conductor and singer who holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting and a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Psychology from the University of British Columbia. She has studied under prominent conductors and participated in workshops with internationally renowned leaders. With a strong background in sacred and diverse choral repertoire, Sharon has conducted University of British Columbia ensembles including the UBC Chamber Choir, Vox, and Oriana, as well as Vox Antiqua (Hong Kong), and currently leads the Vancouver Xiaoping Chorus. She is also a singer with the Phoenix Chamber Choir.
王浚軒 Bryan Wong
三歲开始學琴，九歲起擔任鋼琴伴奏。持有倫敦聖三一音樂學院鋼琴演奏文憑，以及溫哥華音樂學院演奏證書。曾在多項鋼琴比賽中獲獎，並與Lord Byng交響樂團合作演出過格里格和李斯特鋼琴協奏曲。近期加入温哥華晓平合唱團，擔任鋼琴伴奏。
Bryan began learning piano at three and has been a piano accompanist since nine. He holds a Licentiate Performance Diploma from Trinity College London and a Performer’s Certificate in Music Performance from the Vancouver Academy of Music. A prizewinner in many piano competitions, he has performed the Grieg and Liszt piano concertos with the Lord Byng Symphony Orchestra. He is a recent addition to our Chorus as a pianist.
